Teen Driving

New Jersey teen driving laws are so harsh because this age group is notorious for causing accidents, a high percentage of which are fatal. This is a combination of inexperience, peer pressure, and feelings of invincibility. Teens participate in risky driving behavior, including the following:

  • Speeding
  • Running red lights
  • Tailgating
  • Passing in no-pass zones
  • Driving with more passengers than seatbelts
  • Driving and driving
  • Doing drugs and driving
  • Racing on the road

Teens are also often distracted when driving, using cell phones while driving, as well as doing things like putting on makeup or eating while driving. Many teens even admit to sending text messages while driving.

New Jersey driving school is a great way to help teens become better drivers. Although a teen driver will be new to the roads, as well as the New Jersey driving school taught by a professional driving school instructor, he or she will be better able to take on driving challenges. Of course, it is still the parents’ duty to ensure that the teen is practicing safe driving habits.
