What Information is Contained in your Driving Record?
Your New Jersey driving record will contain information about your
driving history. If you’ve been pulled over and cited in the past, the
information will be contained on your driving record. It will also be
noted if you have unpaid tickets or other driving problems in your
past.
This information includes the points on your license. In New Jersey,
there are two separate points systems – one that controls your license
and fines and the other is used by your insurance company to determine
if you are insurable and to set your rates. Your driving record only
contains the points used to control your license and fines.
