Drugs and Driving

Keep in mind that New Jersey DUI laws apply or drug use as well. Driving while under the influence of drugs is treated as driving with a BAC of over 0.10%. Note that this doesn’t just include illegal narcotics. You could also be charged with a New Jersey DUI for driving under the influence of prescribed or even over the counter drugs if they are affecting your driving skills adversely. Make sure you talk to your doctor before you drive while using any medications to ensure that driving is safe.
