Dangers of Running Red Lights
Every year, red light accidents are the result of hundreds of
thousands of injuries and deaths. It is estimated that in New Jersey,
47% of red light accidents result in injuries – that is much, much
higher than any other kind of accident. When you run a red light,
you’re putting yourself at risk, but even worse, you’re putting your
passengers at risk, since most red light accidents cause the car to be
T-boned.
In addition, when you cause a red light accident, you’ll be blocking
the intersection, which could cause more accidents before the traffic
flow is controlled. New Jersey red light tickets are not without merit.
Many people speed through yellow lights, but this is extremely
dangerous. Always stop when you see yellow OR red.
