How New Jersey Police Determine Speeding
There are two main ways that police catch speeders – radar guns in
person and camera radar. Both machines have been proven inaccurate in
the past, so if you get a good lawyer, you might be able to fight your
citation. Police can also determine speeding by clocking the car ahead
of you. If you are keeping up with that car, you are cited as going the
same speed if the police officer pulls over both cars. Again, this can
sometimes be fought in court.
